Our Programs & Services
While drug and alcohol addictions often need to be treated at an inpatient clinic, many addictions can be treated by working closely with a mental health counselor or dietician in an outpatient setting. Our counselors are trained to help you overcome these addictions.
- Talk therapy to determine root cause driving the addiction.
- Holding you accountable to your daily choices.
- Providing you with the resources you need to make better decisions.
- Working with family members as needed if they have been impacted by the addiction.
Finding the best addiction Counselor
While searching out a counselor to help you with this process, you should start with someone you feel comfortable with. In addition, the best counselors will hold you to a high standard of accountability and commitment while also understanding that you are an imperfect human who is bound to struggle sometimes. They will be your partner and friend and cheer you on as you achieve milestones and successes.
Accountability
When struggling with various addictions it is necessary to have accountability for your time and actions. In addictions treatment sometimes, you are embarrassed discussing these issues with people you know. By working with a counselor well versed in addictions you will have someone here, for you. When you are dealing with addictions it can also be helpful for you to enlist the help of family members and friends who are willing to support you through this process.

Often we don’t think that we have an addiction, instead, we think we have just found something that we enjoy. If you need help determining whether you have a healthy interest in an activity or unhealthy addiction you need to start by asking yourself these questions.
- Does the thing I enjoy doing cause problems in my relationships with my spouse, partner, children, family, friends, or colleagues?
- Is my interest causing me difficulty with my finances?
- Does the activity I like to do come with any negative consequences?
- If I am kept from the activity, do I become anxious, restless, irritable?
- Do I feel the need to hide or be secretive?
- Do I feel like I just need a little more time, or can’t get enough?
- Can I stop doing my activity at any moment without distress?
