Clarity and Support for Parents Who Need Answers
As parents, we always want to understand our children and support them as best we can. When a child begins to struggle with behavior, attention, mood, or school performance, it is natural to worry and wonder what the next step should be. At Winter Garden Wellness, we are proud to offer a compassionate and research based Mental Health Assessment for School Age Children. This service is designed to help families get clear, reliable answers without waiting months for the school system or another provider.
If you are noticing signs of ADHD, anxiety, depression, or changes in behavior or mood, our evaluation can give you the clarity you need. It gathers the most common concerns parents face into one simple and guided assessment.
Who Is This For?
If you have concerns about your child’s behavior, emotional wellbeing, or development, this evaluation will guide you toward the answers you need. It is ideal for families who are noticing signs of ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood changes, impulsiveness, trouble focusing, or other behavioral challenges.
If the school system is moving slowly, you do not need to wait. Most families can be seen within two weeks, and often even sooner.
What Does The Evaluation Provide?
Our assessment uses evidence based, nationally recognized tools that help identify and clarify concerns related to:
• ADHD
• Anxiety and related subtypes
• Depression
• Behavioral or emotional regulation concerns
• Other neurodivergent tendencies that may be affecting school or home life
These tools are scientifically validated and commonly used in counseling, pediatrics, and mental health settings to help support accurate clinical diagnosis and treatment planning.
What Can I Do With The Results?
Your results will give you a clear understanding of what is or is not occurring with your child. This clarity supports more effective therapy and allows you to coordinate care with your pediatrician, psychiatrist, or other medical providers.
Parents often share these reports with their child’s school. While this assessment is not a full psychoeducational evaluation or an IQ test, it can still be very helpful when seeking accommodations, an IEP or 504 Plan, or support through Florida scholarship programs for homeschool families.
How Long Does It Take?
The process is simple and family friendly.
Step One
A 45 minute consultation with the therapist to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and schedule the evaluation.
Step Two
Your child meets with the therapist to complete the assessment. Parents and teachers can also complete online questionnaires to give additional insight.
Step Three
You meet with the therapist again to review the results and receive your full written report. Most families complete the entire process in one to two weeks.
Cost
The full service Mental Health Assessment for Children package is $495, which includes:
• Initial consultation
• Administration of all assessment tools

At Winter Garden Wellness, we believe parents deserve clear guidance, trusted information, and timely support. If you are ready to better understand what your child is experiencing, we are here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
